The Diggy Installer is also the updater and repair tool. For normal future Diggy updates, you do not need to download a brand-new installer every time. Run the same Diggy Installer again and it will check the current published Diggy information before it inspects or changes your Minecraft installation.
It checks for updater software first
The stable bootstrapper checks Diggy's published updater-release information. If a newer updater engine is required, it downloads and verifies that engine before continuing.
It loads the newest Diggy pack information
The updater pulls the current Diggy pack manifest from this website before asking permission to inspect Minecraft, Prism, Java, or existing Diggy files.
It compares before changing anything
Diggy checks what is already installed and updates or repairs only what the current Diggy version requires. Unrelated user-owned Minecraft files are not treated as Diggy-owned files.
For future Diggy pack updates:
keep the same installer and run it again. It will pull the newest supported Diggy information automatically.
A replacement bootstrapper should only be needed if the Diggy Guide specifically tells you to download a new one.
Connection
First-time setup
- Download the Diggy Client installer for Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Run the installer and approve the inspection/write categories you want Diggy to use.
- The installer prepares the Diggy client using the current Minecraft, NeoForge, Java, mod, config, and keybinding information published by Diggy.
- Launch the Diggy instance or profile created for your launcher.
- Add the Diggy server address shown above in Minecraft Multiplayer.
- For later Diggy updates, run the same installer again instead of downloading the whole pack manually.
